953 N. Sicamore Ave.*

John Pao was the structural engineer of record while working at his previous California-based structural engineering consulting firm for the 953 N. Sicamore office development.  The building is a 220,000 s.f. post-tensioned flat slab concrete structure with eight stories above grade with two levels of underground parking.  A unique feature of the building design is the requirement of a thin slab edge to overhang the adjacent building by 25 feet in order to capture the maximum floor area required.
